It’s stickered

We are enjoying our first evenings meal @ ruths chris in a private room. The car is almost fully stickered. There should be a video of it on qik. More to come later.

White clean wrapper 38 2… Then a not so clean wrapper. And then saw a full grown bear. LOL which means bear running radar… We decided to pull off to the pickle park.. Also known as rest stop LOL. We are grabbing lunch then back on the road.

We are officially on the road. 12:27 marks the kick off for our 2008 AKA Rally experience. The hotel in NY is our current destination!

12:25am Eastern… Less than 12 hours and we will be on the road heading to NY for the start of the rally. Car is pretty much sorted, just some “on the road” testing to ensure all the scanners are operational and working in their intended manner. Clothes are packed, audio/video/computer gear is charging and or being loaded with info as I type this and my head is blazing through the “don’t forget this” list. For those of you on the rally, we’ll see you in about 16 hours in New York… For everyone else, we’ll try to update this on the fly tomorrow to see how it will work out for the rest of the trip.

9 hours after the install and fabrication began, we pulled the car out, almost finished.

Today’s work included:
–Fabricate panel to hold two scanners/GPS
–Install/secure two speakers
–Install rear protection lighting
–Wire auxiliary power outlets
–Tidy up interior

About 6 hours into today’s install day…. Lots of interesting pictures to come from this… Almost done… I’d estimate we’ll be done within another 3 hours or so… hopefully

Well it was a busy afternoon… we worked on a couple little things mainly with the electronics….. and then headed over to our normal friday GTG spot…..

and a hint about our color choice for this trip…..

and we had to think of which way we might go on our “gps backup”….

oh and what we call a “teaser” shot…. still lots to do….

Its just past 1AM and we here @ Team DDR are chugging away at programming and finalizing our electronics selection for the rally. Today was the big “toy purchasing” day, check “The Car” page to the right to find full specs on what we will be running
